Revenue Synergy Activation | AscendBase
Special Engagements · Mergers & Acquisitions

The market does not pause for a merger.

Revenue Synergy Activation keeps the combined company selling while it integrates.

Cable-stayed bridge over a river

AscendBase starts once the deal is signed. Our specialism is sales, at every stage: winning new clients, converting them, and retaining and growing the clients the combined company already has.

Revenue synergies are engineered account by account, not assumed.

Every merger combines two revenue engines, each with its own clients, prices, teams and data. Revenue Synergy Activation starts with a Revenue Stream Analysis of both companies, maps every overlap account by account, and decides the treatment of each account from data: retain, grow, restructure or exit. One set of stage definitions, service levels, price rules, CRM and data model is then built for the combined company. Revenue continuity is tracked week by week through the transition, and the system is handed to the combined team once it sells at the level the deal assumed. The commercial director keeps running the business throughout.

Workstreams

01

100-Day Revenue Activation Plan

The sequence of revenue decisions for the first 100 days, starting with revenue continuity: which clients are contacted first, by whom and with what message, so no account is lost while the companies integrate.

02

Unified Revenue Processes

One lifecycle for the combined company: stage definitions, entry and exit criteria, handoffs and service levels between sales, delivery and account management.

03

Revenue Data Consolidation & Customer Portfolio Review

Both client bases merged into one CRM and one data model, duplicates resolved, and every account classified as retain, grow, restructure or exit according to its value and potential.

04

Pricing & Offer Harmonisation

Two price lists and two discount policies brought into one, with rules for clients who hold quotes from both companies, protecting margin and retention through the transition.

05

Revenue Team Integration & Enablement

One team structure, one territory and account assignment model, one incentive plan based on outputs and one sales method, with the team trained on the processes it will sell with.

06

Cross-Sell Activation

The offer of each company mapped against the client base of the other, prioritised by fit, and turned into account plans with owners and dates.

How it runs

Delivered in the room, with the team that will run it.

The work happens inside the company: in pipeline meetings, on the shop floor, beside the people who sell, deliver and manage accounts. Every engagement is led in person by the consultant who designs it.

  1. 01
Diagnose on site. The Revenue Stream Analysis combines system data with interviews and direct observation of how the team actually works, before anything is prescribed.
  2. 02
Build with the team. Processes, models and routines are designed in working sessions with the people who will use them, and tested in live deals rather than on paper.
  3. 03
Run it alongside, then hand over. The new routines are run together with the managers until the team operates them unaided; the capability stays in the company after the engagement ends.
